One
of Hope's Core Values states "We believe that our
worship should take us into the presence of God,
which is evidenced in part by the stimulation of the
mind and an overflowing heart." (John 4:24). As we
define worship and its importance to our church
community, we must give due consideration to the
object of our worship. God! Worship is the only
thing that we are certain that we will be doing in
heaven. Revelation 4 describes worship in heaven. At
the very center - in the 'spotlight' is the throne
of God. At Hope, we believe that our coming together
in public worship should be a foretaste of heaven.
Our worship experience on Sunday should whet our
appetite for worship in eternity. Yet worship is not
just a Sunday morning thing. Worship of our Lord is
intended by God to be a lifestyle. It is what He
created us for!
We strive to align our
worship with solid biblical principles. At Hope, we
believe that worship is more than something to be
viewed, and we deliberately encourage congregational
participation.
